Paxio Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 August 2026

By downloading, installing, or using Paxio ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who this is for

Paxio is intended for use by a parent or legal guardian to manage a device used by their own child, through the parental-control features Paxio offers from time to time. These features may be added, removed, or changed without requiring an update to these terms, so long as the change doesn't materially affect your rights (see "Changes to these terms" below). You must be authorized to install monitoring/management software on the device you use Paxio with.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Paxio account. By using Paxio you confirm that you are 18 or older and are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose device you are monitoring.

Acceptable use

Paxio may only be used to monitor devices belonging to your own minor child or a child for whom you are the legal guardian. You must not use Paxio to:

  • Monitor any adult without their knowledge and explicit consent
  • Monitor any person who is not your own minor child
  • Stalk, harass, or surveil any person
  • Install Paxio on a device you do not own or are not authorized to manage
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent another person's privacy rights

Violation of this clause will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your parent PIN and account credentials secure, configuring Paxio in compliance with your jurisdiction's laws, and obtaining any consent needed to use monitoring software on a device.

Service availability

Paxio relies on Android system permissions and third-party cloud services to operate. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation — a restart, permission revocation, or OS update can affect functionality until permissions are re-granted.

Warnings shown by other apps (Accessibility Service / VPN detection)

Some apps — particularly banking and financial apps — detect whether any accessibility service or VPN is active on your device and may show a warning, or restrict their own functionality, as a result. This is a standard anti-fraud precaution built into those apps, triggered by the presence of any app using Android's Accessibility Service or VPN Service APIs — including screen readers, ad blockers, and password managers, not just Paxio. It is not specific to Paxio, and it does not mean your device or the other app has been compromised.

Paxio uses these APIs only for the parental-control purposes described in these terms and our Privacy Policy, and does not use them to access, read, or transmit data from other apps. We are not responsible for how a third-party app chooses to respond to the presence of a legitimate Android system feature like Accessibility Service or VPN.

No warranty and parental control limitations

Paxio is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. In particular:

  • No parental-control feature is guaranteed to be 100% effective — for example, content-based restrictions may not catch everything, since new content emerges constantly and restriction lists are updated periodically, not in real time
  • A determined or technically skilled child may be able to circumvent a restriction
  • The app may not function without interruption following Android OS updates, device manufacturer changes, or permission revocations
  • Usage tracking or reporting may not always be fully accurate, since it depends on underlying Android system APIs, which may have limitations on some devices

Paxio is a tool to assist parents — it is not a substitute for parental supervision and digital literacy conversations with your child.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Paxio.

Intellectual property

Paxio, its logo, and all app content are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app. Your right to use Paxio is a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial use only.

Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if we determine you have violated these terms, provided false information, or used Paxio in a way that could harm others or expose us to legal liability. You may delete your account at any time via the app or by contacting support@paxio.in.

Subscriptions and payments

Paxio is currently free to use. If paid features are introduced in future:

  • Subscription fees will be clearly displayed before purchase
  • Payments are processed through Google Play Billing
  • Refunds follow Google Play's standard refund policy
  • We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any free feature becomes paid

Third-party services

Paxio uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms:

  • Firebase Authentication and Firestore (Google) — firebase.google.com/terms
  • Google Sign-In — policies.google.com/terms
  • Google Play Billing (for future paid features) — play.google.com/about/play-terms

We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of these services.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes — those affecting your rights or our liability — we will notify you via the email address on your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect. For minor changes (corrections, clarifications) we will update the "Last updated" date without prior notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
